Indoor coverage is a major differentiator in the competitive environment. Dedicated In-building Coverage solutions require careful planning to ensure adequate coverage and also to ensure that the traffic is carried through the dedicated solution. Even in the case of repeaters, proper gain settings are required to ensure optimum performance and to avoid Oscillations. 4K is a pioneer in providing turnkey in-building coverage enhancement solutions. With around two decades of experience, we understand the complexities of coverage and capacity needs of mobile operators. 4K offers an unbiased approach to the growing demand by providing flexible and scalable In-Building Coverage Solutions (IBS) for a wide range of wireless technologies. Judicious surveys using sophisticated RF design, prediction, and data collection tools ensure cost-effective network planning and offer optimized site-specific solutions.
Our In-Building Solutions include Comflex DAS, mBDA, Rx series repeater, small cell, and Wi-Fi solutions and process details as follows:
1.Walk test to understand the propagation environment
2. Planning for RF distribution network
3. Selection of suitable locations for installation of Antennas
4. Cable route survey and measurements
5. Documentation for submission to Building authorities
6. Post installation acceptance testing for verification of coverage
7. Recommendation on BSS parameters for desired Handover behavior
4K Passive DAS Solution-
A Passive Distributed Antenna System (DAS) solution is built with a combination of passive components or RF ancillaries such as splitters, couplers, feeders, etc. The passive solution is cost-effective and widely used for covering small and medium-sized buildings.
The Passive DAS solution has many advantages, particularly when it comes to single operators with limited technologies. This solution is entirely free from noise and active intermodulation products, and it has lower operational and maintenance costs.
4K Active DAS Solution-
Active DAS is a concept of Fiber Optic Repeater-based solutions that consist of a master and remote unit. 4K’s multi-band, multi-technology DAS supports CDMA, GSM900, GSM 1800, WCDMA, and LTE, based on customer requirements. A master unit converts the RF signals to optical, which can be connected to remote units via Fiber Optical Cable. The remote unit converts the optical signals back to the original RF signal. The remote unit is then connected to a passive DAS to extend the coverage to the desired areas.
4K’s Active DAS offers Network Management Software to control, monitor, and manage the system, and the software is capable of FCAPS (Fault, Configuration, Alarm, Performance, and Security) management.
